Our Story

Narain Niwas Palace was built in 1928 by General Amar Singh, Thakur of Kanota, Commander of the Jaipur State Forces, as a peaceful getaway, offering a break from his busy life at court. In 1978, Thakur Mohan Singhji Kanota and his wife, Thakurani Sahab Narendra Kanwar, opened its doors to travelers, starting with just four rooms. Today, the palace is managed by the third generation of the Kanota family—Thakur Man Singh and Thakur Prithvi Singh, along with their sons, Kunwar Pratap Singh and Kunwar Mormukut Rathore, continuing the family tradition of royal hospitality.
